حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ قَالَا ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ
خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ الْجَدْعَاءِ وَأَنَا آخِذٌ بِجِرَانِهَا وَهِيَ تَقْصَعُ بِجِرَّتِهَا فَقَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ أَعْطَى كُلَّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ لَا وَصِيَّةَ لِوَارِثٍ وَالْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ مَنِ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ وانْتَمَى إِلَى غَيْرِ مَوَالِيهِ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفٌ وَلَا عَدْلٌ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ addressed us while he was on his she-camel, al-Jadʿaʾ, and I was holding its neck while she was chewing her cud. He said: “God has given every possessor of a right his right. No bequest to an heir. The child belongs to the marriage bed, and for the adulterer is the stone. Whoever claims descent from other than his father, or attaches himself to other than his masters, upon him is the curse of God, the angels, and all people. Neither a supererogatory deed nor a compulsory one will be accepted from him.”
