✧ From Damra b. Abdullah b. Unays and Abd al-Rahman b. Ka'b that they both heard Abdullah b. Unays say: I sat in the gathering of Banu Salima, and I was the youngest of them, on the morning of the twenty-first of Ramadan. They said: Who will ask the Messenger of God ﷺ for us when the Night of Decree is? I said: I will. So I went until I arrived at Maghrib on the night of the twenty-second, and I prayed the prayer with him. Then I stood for him at his door until he passed by me, and he brought me into his house. He called for supper for me and said to me: "Eat supper." Indeed I saw myself holding back from it because of its scarcity. Then he called for his sandals and stood up and said: "It seems you have a need?" I said: Yes, men from Banu Salima sent me to you asking you when the Night of Decree is. He said: "How many nights of the month have passed?" I said: Twenty-two. He said: "It is tonight." Then he returned and said: "Or the next one, or the next one."
