حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ. عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:
خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ بِبَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ ذَهَبَ لِحَاجَتِهِ وَتَبِعْتُهُ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قُلْتُ: هَذَا الْمَاءُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَاسْتَأْخَرَ عَنِّي، فَاسْتَأْخَرْتُ عَنْهُ، فَاسْتَنْجَى بِالْمَاءِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " صُبَّ عَلَيَّ "، فَصَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ، فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَيَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ set out on the expedition to Tabuk. When he was on part of the road, he went to relieve himself and I followed him. When he had finished, I said: Here is water, O Messenger of Allah. He moved away from me, and I moved away from him. He cleansed himself with water, then said: "Pour it over me." So I poured water over him, and he washed his face three times, his hands three times, wiped his head, and wiped over his leather socks.
