حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ:
كُنْتُ مَعَ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَدَخَلَ السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، فَقَالَ: اذْهَبْ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الشَّيْخِ، فَقُلْ لَهُ: يَقُولُ لَكَ عَمِّي مُوسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ: هَلْ رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ، ﷺ ؟ فَأَتَيْتُهُ، فَقُلْتُ: هَلْ رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَقَالَ: قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ، " فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ أَنَا وَغِلْمَةٌ مَعِي، فَوَجَدْنَاهُ يَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا فِي قِنَاعٍ، وَمَعَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، فَقَبَضَ لَنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ التَّمْرِ قَبْضَةً قَبْضَةً، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا
Translation

✧ I was with Musa b. Talhah in the mosque, then al-Sa'ib b. Yazid entered. He said: Go to that shaykh and say to him: My uncle Musa b. Talhah says to you: Did you see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? So I went to him and said: Did you see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: I did see him. "We entered upon him, myself and some boys with me, and found him eating dates from a basket, and with him were some of his companions. He took a handful of dates for us, one handful after another, and wiped his hand over our heads."
