✧ I was with al-Farazdaq in prison, and al-Farazdaq said: "May God not save me from the hands of Malik b. al-Mundhir b. al-Jarud if I did not set out walking in Makkah and meet Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, and ask them, saying: 'I am from the people of the east, and some people are coming out against us, killing those who say: There is no god but God, while others are safe.' They said to me—and otherwise may God not save me from Malik b. al-Mundhir—'We heard our beloved ﷺ say: Whoever kills them will have the reward of a martyr or two martyrs, and whomever they kill will have the reward of a martyr.'"
