✧ One day I was sitting with a group of the weak among the Muhajirun, and a man among us was reciting the Qur'an to us and supplicating for us. Some of us was covering himself with another because of nudity and hardship. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us. When our reciter saw him, he stopped reciting. He came and sat with us, then gestured with his hand, and the circle of people turned to face him. He said: Were you not exchanging talk among yourselves? They said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah, our companion recites the Qur'an to us and supplicates for us. He said: 'Return to your talk.' The man said: O Messenger of Allah, shall I recite while you are among us? He said: 'Yes.' Then he said: 'Praise be to Allah who has placed in my ummah those with whom I have been commanded to keep myself patient.' Then he said: 'Rejoice, O company of poor believers, with success on the Day of Resurrection over the rich by five hundred years, while the others are held back, detained by the excess that was in their hands.'
