✧ Quraysh came to Abu Talib and said: O Abu Talib, your nephew comes to us in our Kaaba and our gathering and makes us hear what hurts us. If you see fit to restrain him from us, then do so. He said to me: O Aqil, find your cousin for me. So I brought him out from one of the ravines of the mountain pass of Abu Talib—or he said: one of the ravines of Abu Talib; Ibrahim b. Abi Suwayd was uncertain—and he came walking with me, seeking shade with all his effort but unable to find any until he reached Abu Talib. Abu Talib said to him: O nephew, by God, I did not know that you were disobedient to me. Your people have come claiming that you go to them in their Kaaba and their gathering and make them hear what hurts them. I think you should refrain from them. He raised his eyes to the sky and said: By God, I am no more able to abandon what I have been sent with than one of you could ignite a flame of fire from this sun. Abu Talib said: By God, he has never lied. Go back rightly guided.
