حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، ثَنَا وَهْبٌ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ عُذْرَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَاهَانَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ
أَنَّ ابْنَ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، وَكَانَ ضَرِيرَ الْبَصَرِ، فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ، وَسَأَلَهُ أَنْ يُرَخِّصَ لَهُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ وَالْفَجْرِ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ أَشْيَبُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: هَلْ تَسْمَعُ الْأَذَانَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ، " فَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ

✧ Ibn Umm Maktum came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he was blind. He complained to him and asked him to grant him a concession regarding the evening and dawn prayers, saying: "Between me and you there are grey-haired men." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do you hear the call to prayer?" He said: "Yes, once or twice." He did not grant him a concession in that.
