حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، ثَنَا مُطِيعُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ عِصْمَةَ، وَهِيَ أُمُّهُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:
سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ خُرُوجِ الْعَوَاتِقِ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ ؟ فَقَالَ: " يَخْرُجْنَ ". قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا ثَوْبٌ ؟ قَالَ: تَلْبَسُ ثَوْبَ صَاحِبَتِهَا، أَلَمْ تَسْمَعِي أَنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللهَ عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the going out of young women on the two Eids. He said: 'Let them go out.' It was said, 'O Messenger of Allah, if she does not have a garment?' He said: 'Let her wear the garment of her companion. Have you not heard that Allah says: And to complete the number and to magnify Allah for that which He has guided you.'
