✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stepped aside, and I stepped aside with him. I drew near to him, and he said, "Do you have water with you?" I said, "Yes." So he washed his palms and his face, and then he went to wash his forearms. He was wearing a jubbah, and it was tight, so he took his hand out from under the jubbah and washed it. Then he wiped over his khuffs. Then he came to pray, and 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awf was leading the people in prayer. When they saw the Prophet ﷺ, they cleared their throats. So 'Abd al-Rahman moved to step back, but he gestured to him: "Continue."
