✧ I saw ʿAbd Allah b. Busr, the Companion of the Messenger of God ﷺ, sitting in the mosque—he was a very old and aged man—and his servant came to him and said, 'O my master, these camels of yours have been seized for the dung transport(?) of al-Zibla'—meaning the estate of al-ʿAbbas b. al-Walid b. ʿAbd al-Malik that is at the gate of the mosque in Hims—and there were two men with him, so they took him by his upper arms until he stood up. ʿUmar said: I walked with him until he came to al-Zibla, and there were his camels made to kneel, and they were filling dust with the sacks. He took a sack and began opening it for them. Some Christians said, 'This is the companion of your Prophet and you do this to him? If we saw a man from among the companions of ʿIsa, we would carry him on our heads.' The people then leaned to take him, but he said, 'Leave me; I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: How will you be when the rulers oppress you?'
