✧ A Jewish woman entered upon me and talked to me, and among her words she said: Yes, by the One who protects you from the trial of the grave. She said: I rebuked her and said: This is not the first of your lies against God and His Messenger. If there were punishment in the grave, God would have informed His Prophet ﷺ. The Jewish woman said: We claim that it has punishment. Aisha said: When the Prophet of God ﷺ entered upon me, I told him what she had said, but he did not reply to me at all. Then, after that, he said: O Aisha, seek refuge in God from the punishment of the grave; for if anyone would have been saved from it, Sa'd b. Mu'adh would have been saved, but it was only a squeezing.
