حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ:

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ قُلْتُ: أَيُّ جَمْعٍ هَذَا ؟ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَبِيَدِهِ السَّيْفُ مُصْلِتًا، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ

✧ When the verse “The gathering will be routed and turn their backs” was revealed, I said: Which gathering is this? Then on the day of Badr, I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ with a drawn sword in his hand, saying: “The gathering will be routed and turn their backs.”
