حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ قَالَ: أَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
وَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ فِي شَيْءٍ، فَقَالَتْ لِي صَفِيَّةُ: هَلْ لَكِ أَنْ تُرْضِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَكِ يَوْمِي ؟ فَلَبِسْتُ خِمَارًا لِي كَانَ مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ، وَنَضَحْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَجَلَسَتْ إِلَى جَنْبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لِي: إِلَيْكِ عَنِّي، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِيَوْمِكِ فَقُلْتُ: ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ، وَأَخْبَرَتْهُ الْخَبَرَ، فَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was upset with Safiyyah over something. Safiyyah said to me: 'Would you like to appease the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I will give you my day?' So I wore a veil of mine dyed with saffron, sprinkled it with water, then came and sat beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said to me: 'Away from me, for it is not your day.' I said: 'That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills,' and I informed him of the matter, and he was pleased with her.
