حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ قَالَ: نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ حَارِثٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي طَرِيفُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَنْبَرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ قَالَ:
لَقِيتُ ثَوْبَانَ، مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَا لِأَهْلِهِ، فَذَكَرَ عَلِيًّا وَفَاطِمَةَ وَغَيْرَهُمَا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ أَنَا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، مَا لَمْ تَقُمْ عَلَى بَابِ سُدَّةٍ، أَوْ تَأْتِي أَمِيرًا تَسْأَلُهُ

✧ I met Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated for his household, mentioning Ali, Fatimah, and others. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, am I from the People of the House?' He said: 'Yes, as long as you do not stand at the gate of a ruler or come to an official to ask of him.'
