machine translationWhat is preserved (maḥfūẓ) is from Suhayl, from al-Nuʿmān b. Abī ʿAyyāsh, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī. That is, this is the preserved version, rather than what Abū Ḍamrah Anas b. ʿIyāḍ and Saʿīd b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Jumaḥī narrated from Suhayl, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah; they both erred in it regarding Suhayl.
