✧ I have not seen anyone whose speech, conversation, or way of sitting resembled the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more than Fatimah. She said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw her coming, he would welcome her, then stand up to her and kiss her, then take her by the hand and bring her until he seated her in his place. When she saw the Prophet ﷺ, she would welcome him, then stand up to him and kiss him. She entered upon the Prophet ﷺ during his final illness, and he welcomed her and kissed her, then whispered something to her, and she wept. Then he whispered something else to her, and she laughed. I said to the women: "I used to think that this woman had a special virtue over other women, and now she is just one of them—while she weeps, she laughs." I asked her: "What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to you?" She said: "Then I would be a blabbermouth." After the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away, I asked her, and she said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'My appointed time has come, and I am dying,' so I wept. Then he said: 'You will be the first of my family to join me,' so I was pleased and it delighted me, and I laughed."
