أَخْبَرَنِي الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ وَانْصَرَفَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ النِّسَاءُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابِهِ يَتْبَعُونَهُمْ بِالْمَاءِ فَكَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ فِيمَنْ خَرَجَ فَلَمَّا لَقِيَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اعْتَنَقَتْهُ وَجَعَلَتْ تَغْسِلُ جُرْحَهُ بِالْمَاءِ فَيَزْدَادُ الدَّمُ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ ذَلِكَ أَخَذَتْ شَيْئًا مِنْ حَصِيرٍ فَأَحْرَقَتْهُ بِالنَّارِ فَكَمَدَتْهُ حَتَّى لَصَقَ بِالْجُرْحِ وَاسْتَمْسَكَ الدَّمُ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: the women went out to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions, following them with water. Fatimah was among those who went out. When she met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, she embraced him and began washing his wound with water, but the blood increased. When she saw that, she took a piece of matting, burned it in the fire, and cauterized the wound until it sealed and the blood stopped.
