أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ قَالَ
تَنَاوَلْتُ قِدْرًا كَانَتْ لِي فَاحْتَرَقَتْ يَدِي فَانْطَلَقَتْ بِي أُمِّي إِلَى رَجُلٍ جَالِسٌ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ «لَبَّيْكِ وَسَعْدَيْكِ» ثُمَّ أَدْنَتْنِي مِنْهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتْفِلُ وَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِكَلَامٍ مَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَسَأَلْتُ أُمِّي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مَا كَانَ يَقُولُ؟ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَقُولُ «أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شَافِيَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ»

✧ I took hold of a cooking pot that belonged to me and my hand got burned. My mother took me to a man who was sitting and said to him: “O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “At your service and at your pleasure.” Then she brought me close to him, and he began to spit and speak words that I did not know what they were. I asked my mother afterwards what he had been saying. She said: “He was saying: ‘Remove the harm, Lord of the people; heal, You are the Healer; there is no healer except You.’”
