أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَفِظْتُهُ مِنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَكَسَعَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ يَا لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَقَالَ الْمُهَاجِرِيُّ يَا لِلْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَسَمِعَ بِذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا بَالُ دَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ؟» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ كَسَعَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «دَعُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا مُنْتِنَةٌ»

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a military expedition. A man from the Muhajirun kicked a man from the Ansar from behind. The Ansari said, “O Ansar!” and the Muhajir said, “O Muhajirun!” The Prophet ﷺ heard that and said: “What is this call of the pre-Islamic era?” They said, “O Messenger of God, a man from the Muhajirun kicked a man from the Ansar.” The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Leave it, for it is stinking.”
