✧ The regular supererogatory prayers and perseverance in them

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ:

كَانَ يُقَالُ: الْوِتْرُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقُرْآنِ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا تَأْمُرُ بِهِ ابْنَتَكَ ؟ قَالَ: آمُرُهَا بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ، وَكَانَتِ ابْنَةَ خَمْسٍ أَوْ سِتِّ سِنِينَ

Translation

✧ It used to be said: The Witr is upon the people of the Qur’an. I said: What do you command your daughter? He said: I command her to pray two rak’ahs after ‘Isha, and she was a girl of five or six years.
