✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night to pray as he prayed. He began the prayer and recited a recitation that was neither light nor loud: a beautiful recitation, in which he recited distinctly and made us hear. He said: Then he bowed for about the length of a surah. Then he raised his head and said: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him: Possessor of might, dominion, pride, and greatness.' He said: Then his standing was about the length of a surah. He said: And he prostrated for about that long until he finished the lengthy recitation, while the darkness of night was still upon him.
