✧ Whoever harms a friend of Mine has declared war on Me. My servant does not draw near to Me with anything I love more than performing what I have made obligatory upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory deeds until I love him. When I love him, I am his leg with which he walks, his hand with which he strikes, his tongue with which he speaks, and his heart with which he reasons. If he asks Me, I will give him, and if he seeks My refuge, I will grant him refuge. I have never hesitated about anything I am going to do as I hesitate about taking his soul, because he hates it and I hate to displease him.
