✧ Completing the obligatory from the voluntary, and the chapter on unrestricted supererogatory prayers

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ غَانِمٍ السُّلَفِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ صُهَيْبٍ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ تَطَوُّعًا حَيْثُ لَا يَرَاهُ النَّاسُ تَعْدِلُ صَلَاتَهُ عَلَى أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ

✧ A man's voluntary prayer where no one sees him is equal to twenty-five times his prayer in the sight of the people.
