✧ The virtue of walking to the mosques at night

وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْهَجَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ، ثُمَّ يَأْتِي مَسْجِدًا مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ: يَخْطُو خُطْوَةً: إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهَا حَسَنَةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً، وَرَفَعَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً

Translation

✧ There is no man who performs ablution, then comes to one of the mosques and takes a step, except that God, Mighty and Majestic, writes for him a good deed, erases by it a sin, and raises him by it a degree.
