✧ Shall I not tell you about the lowest of the people of Paradise? They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'A man will enter from the gate of Paradise, and his servants will meet him and say: "Welcome, our master! It is time for you to return."' He said: 'Then carpets will be spread for him for forty years. Then he will look to his right and to his left and see gardens, and he will say: "For whom is what is here?" It will be said: "For you." When he finishes, a red ruby or a green emerald will be raised for him, having seventy branches, in each branch seventy rooms, in each room seventy doors. It will be said to him: "Recite and ascend." He said: 'He will ascend until he reaches the couch of his kingdom and reclines on it. Its width is a mile by a mile, and it has extra space. Seventy thousand dishes of gold will be brought to him, no dish having the same color as its companion. He will find the taste of the last dish like the taste of the first. Then drinks of various kinds will be brought to him, and he will drink as much as he desires. Then the servants will say: "Leave him and his wives." (Abu Shihab said: I think he said:) The servants will withdraw from him, and there will be a houri seated on the couch of her kingdom. He will see the marrow of her leg from behind the flesh and blood. He will say to her: "Who are you?" She will say: "I am one of the houris with large eyes who have been hidden for you." He will look at her for forty years without lifting his gaze from her. Then he will raise his gaze to the rooms above him, and there will be another more beautiful than her. She will say to him: "Is it not time that we have a share of you?" He will ascend to her and look at her for forty years without turning his gaze away from her. When the bliss has reached its utmost with them, and they think that there is nothing better than them, the Lord, Blessed and Exalted, will manifest Himself to them, and they will look at the face of the Most Merciful, and they will forget all the bliss they had witnessed when they look at the face of the Most Merciful. Then He will say: "O people of Paradise, declare My oneness!" They will respond with the declaration of oneness. Then He will say: "O Dawud, glorify Me as you used to glorify Me in the world." Dawud will glorify his Lord, Mighty and Majestic.' Ahmad b. Yunus said: I said to Abu Shihab: 'The hadith of Khalid b. Dinar about the mention of Paradise – is it marfu'?' He said: 'Yes.' In the Dar al-'Asima edition: (umm), but what is established is from the Musnad of 'Abd b. Humayd and the Ittihaf of al-Busiri.
