✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Umar b. al-Khattab ؓ: O Umar, how will it be for you when you die, and they measure for you three cubits and a span in a cubit and a span, then they return to you and wash you, shroud you, and perfume you, then they carry you until they place you in it, then they heap the dust upon you? When they depart from you, the two trialers of the grave will come to you: Munkar and Nakir, their voices like crashing thunder and their eyes like flashing lightning. They will shake you and interrogate you and terrify you. How will it be for you at that, O Umar? He said: O Messenger of Allah, and will I have my mind? He ﷺ said: Yes. He ؓ said: Then I shall suffice you against them.
