✧ A Chapter on the condition of the deceased in their grave

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمِصْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُيَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ذَكَرَ فَتَّانَيِ الْقَبْرِ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ أَتُرَدُّ عَلَيْنَا عُقُولُنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ فَقَالَ « نَعَمْ كَهَيْئَتِكُمُ الْيَوْمَ» قَالَ فَبِفِيهِ الْحَجَرُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned the two testers of the grave, and 'Umar b. al-Khattab said: 'Will our minds be restored to us, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Yes, as you are today.' He said: 'Then he will be silenced.'
