✧ The number of trials

قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي أُسَامَةَ: أَحَدَّثَكُمُ الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ مُنْذِرٍ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ، قَالَ:

جَعَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ خَمْسَ فِتَنٍ: فِتْنَةٌ خَاصَّةٌ، ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ عَامَّةٌ، ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ خَاصَّةٌ، ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ عَامَّةٌ، ثُمَّ تَجِيءُ فِتْنَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ مُظْلِمَةٌ، فَيَصِيرُ النَّاسُ فِيهَا كَالْبَهَائِمِ، فَأَقَرَّ بِهِ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ وَقَالَ: نَعَمْ

Translation

✧ Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has placed in this nation five trials: a specific trial, then a general trial, then a specific trial, then a general trial, then a black, dark trial will come, in which people will become like animals. Abu Usamah confirmed it and said: 'Yes.'
