✧ The death of our master, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ:

وَوَلِيَ دَفْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَإِخْفَاءَهُ دُونَ النَّاسِ أَرْبَعَةٌ: عَلِيٌّ، وَالْعَبَّاسُ، وَالْفَضْلُ، وَصَالِحٌ ؓ، وَأُلْحِدَ لَهُ لَحْدًا، وَنُصِبَ عَلَيْهِ اللَّبِنُ نَصْبًا

Translation

✧ The burial of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his concealment from the people were undertaken by four: Ali, al-Abbas, al-Fadl, and Salih ؓ. A niche was dug for him, and bricks were placed over him.
