عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلَانِ، رَجُلٌ يَلْحَدُ وَرَجُلٌ يَشُقُّ، فَاجْتَمَعَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا: اللَّهُمَّ خِرْ لَهُ، قَالَ: " فَطَلَعَ الَّذِي يَلْحَدُ فَلَحَدَ لَهُ
Translation
✧ When the Prophet ﷺ died, there were two men in Madinah: one who made niche graves and one who dug trench graves. The Companions of the Prophet ﷺ gathered and said, “O Allah, choose what is best for him.” He said, “The one who made niche graves came, so he made a niche for him.”
