✧ The Negus sent to the Prophet ﷺ a delegation of his companions. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the Quran to them, and they affirmed and embraced Islam. About them this verse was revealed: 'You will surely find the most intense of people in animosity toward those who believe are the Jews and those who associate others with Allah' up to His saying: 'the witnesses.' Then they returned to the Negus, and he embraced Islam. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ learned of his death, and they prayed over him as one prays over a deceased person.
