✧ I performed Hajj in the pre-Islamic era, and behold, a man was circumambulating the House while reciting in rajaz: 'Return to me my rider Muhammad, return him to me and do me a favor.' I said, 'Who is this?' They said, 'This is 'Abd al-Muttalib b. Hashim. Some camels of his went astray, so he sent a son of his after them to look for them, and he was delayed. He never sent him on an errand but he came back with it accomplished.' He said: I did not leave until Muhammad ﷺ came with the camels. He said, 'O my son, by Allah, I grieved for you this time with a grief that I will never part from you again.'
