✧ The Virtue of A'ishah, ᴿᴬ

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ:

أُعْطِيتُ تِسْعًا مَا أُعْطِيَهُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَّا مَرْيَمُ.. فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ. فَقَالَتْ: وَإِنْ كَانَ الْوَحْيُ يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي أَهْلِهِ مُتَفَرِّقُونَ عَنْهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَيَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فِي لِحَافِهِ، وَإِنِّي لَابْنَةُ خَلِيفَتِهِ وَصِدِّيقِهِ، لَقَدْ خُلِقْتُ طَيِّبَةً وَعِنْدَ طَيِّبٍ، وَلَقَدْ وُعِدَتُ مَغْفِرَةً وَرِزْقًا كَرِيمًا

✧ I was given nine things that no woman was given except Maryam... and she mentioned something similar. She said: 'Revelation would descend upon him while he was with his family and they were apart from him, but it would descend upon him ﷺ while I was with him under his blanket. I am the daughter of his caliph and his truthful friend; I was created good and at the hands of a good one, and I have been promised forgiveness and generous provision.'
