قَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ؓ:
أَنَّهُ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ غَزَوَاتِهِ، فَقَالَ ﷺ: يَا رَافِعُ، إِنْ شِئْتَ رَفَعْتُ السَّهْمَ وَتَرَكْتُ الْقُطْبَةَ، وَأَشْهَدُ لَكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَنَّكَ شَهِيدٌ ؟ قَالَ: فَفَعَلَ ﷺ

✧ He was struck by an arrow while with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in one of his battles. He ﷺ said: O Rafi', if you wish I will remove the arrow but leave the arrowhead, and I will testify for you on the Day of Resurrection that you are a martyr? He said: So he ﷺ did.
