حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ
أَنَّهُ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ غَزَوَاتِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَا رَافِعُ، إِنْ شِئْتَ نَزَعْتُ السَّهْمَ وَتَرَكْتُ الْقُطْبَةَ، وَأَشْهَدُ لَكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنَّكَ شَهِيدٌ "، فَفَعَلَ
Translation

✧ He was struck by an arrow while with the Messenger of God ﷺ in one of his expeditions. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to him: "O Rafi', if you wish, I will remove the arrow and leave the head, and I will testify for you on the Day of Resurrection that you are a martyr." And he did so.
