حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ، ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ؓ:
اعْتَمَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي عُمْرَةٍ اعْتَمَرَهَا، فَحَلَقَ شَعَرَهُ ﷺ فَسَبَقْتُ إِلَى النَّاصِيَةِ فَأَخَذْتُهَا، فَاتَّخَذْتُ قَلَنْسُوَةً فَجَعَلْتُهَا فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْقَلَنْسُوَةِ، فَمَا وُجِّهْتُ فِي وَجْهٍ إِلَّا فُتِحَ لِي
Translation

✧ We performed Umrah with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in an Umrah he performed, and he shaved his hair. I hastened to the forelock and took it, and I made a cap and placed it in the front of the cap. I was never directed in any direction except that it was opened for me.
