قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ الْقَدَّاحُ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَاجٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ - قَدْ سَمَّاهُ، ذَهَبَ عَنِّي اسْمُهُ
أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ مَعَ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ فَأَدْنَاهُ حَتَّى أَجْلَسَهُ مَعَهُ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِذِرَاعِ مُوسَى فَغَمَزَهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَوِّنْ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، فَوَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي اللهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - وَأَبَاكَ - يَعْنِي طَلْحَةَ ؓ - مِمَّنْ نَزَعَ اللهُ مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ
Translation

✧ He entered with Musa b. Talhah upon Ali b. Abi Talib ؓ, and he drew him close until he seated him with him on the bed. Then he took Musa's forearm and squeezed it, then said: 'Take it easy, O son of my brother, for by Allah, I hope that Allah – Mighty and Majestic – will make me and your father – meaning Talhah ؓ – among those from whose hearts Allah has removed rancor, as brothers on couches facing one another.'
