حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ: نَا جَابِرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نُعَيْمُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ الْأَعْوَرُ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ:

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، إِذْ جَاءَ ابْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ: " مَرْحَبًا بِكَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، إِلَيَّ هَا هُنَا، فَأَقْعَدَهُ مَعَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " أَمَا وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَنَا وَأَبُوكَ مِمَّنْ قَالَ اللهُ: وَنَـزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ... " الْآيَةَ

✧ I was with 'Ali b. Abi Talib when Ibn Talhah b. 'Ubayd Allah came. 'Ali said to him: "Welcome, son of my brother! Come here to me." He seated him with him, then said: "By Allah, I hope that I and your father are among those of whom Allah said: 'And We shall remove whatever rancor is in their breasts...'" the verse.
