✧ Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ؓ divorced his wife Qutaylah in the pre-Islamic era; she is the mother of Asma' bint Abi Bakr ؓ. She came to them during the truce period between the Messenger of God ﷺ and the disbelievers of Quraysh. She gave Asma' bint Abi Bakr ؓ earrings and other things as a gift. Asma' disliked accepting from her until she went to the Messenger of God ﷺ and mentioned that to him. Then God, Mighty and Majestic, revealed: 'God does not forbid you from those who have not fought you because of religion.'
