✧ Qaylah bt. al-'Uzza sent to her daughter Asma' bt. Abi Bakr – and Abu Bakr ؓ had divorced her in the Jahiliyyah – and she sent her gifts including dried curd and clarified butter. Asma' refused to accept her gift or admit her into her house. So Qaylah sent to 'A'ishah to ask the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'She should admit her into her house and accept her gift.' And Allah, Blessed and Exalted, revealed: 'Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion.'
