أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ابْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ؓ قَالَ:
بَيْنَمَا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ ؓ يُصَلِّي ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ قَالَ أُسَيْدٌ ؓ: ( فَغَشِيَتْنِي ) مِثْلُ ( السَّحَابَةِ ) فِيهَا الْمَصَابِيحُ، وَامْرَأَتِي نَائِمَةٌ إِلَى جَنْبِي وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ، وَالْفَرَسُ مَرْبُوطٌ فِي الدَّارِ، فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ الْفَرَسُ فَتَفْزَعَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَتُلْقِي وَلَدَهَا، فَانْصَرَفْتُ مِنْ صَلَاتِي، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِينَ أَصْبَحْتُ، فَقَالَ ﷺ: اقْرَأْ أُسَيْدُ، ذَلِكَ مَلَكٌ يَسْتَمِعُ الْقُرْآنَ
Translation

✧ While Usayd b. Hudayr ؓ was praying one night, he said: (Then there covered me) something like (a cloud) containing lamps, while my wife was sleeping beside me and she was pregnant, and the horse was tethered in the house. I feared that the horse would bolt and startle the woman, causing her to miscarry, so I stopped my prayer. I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ in the morning, and he ﷺ said: 'Recite, Usayd, for that was an angel listening to the Quran.'
