حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ، نَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، ثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ، قَالَ:
كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي فِي لَيْلَةٍ قَمِرَةٍ، وَقَدْ أَوْثَقْتُ فَرَسِي، فَجَالَتْ جَوْلَةً، فَفَزِعْتُ، فَدَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْتُ ذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: تِلْكَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ جَاءَتْ تَسْمَعُ قِرَاءَتَكَ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ بِسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ

✧ "I was praying on a moonlit night, and I had tethered my horse. It bolted, and I was startled, so I entered the house. When morning came, I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'Those were the angels who came to listen to your recitation of Surat al-Baqarah in the last part of the night.'"
