✧ (Abu Sa'id ؓ was praying when al-Harith passed in front of him – or wanted to pass in front of him – until he was about to grab his hair. Al-Harith complained to Marwan, so Abu Sa'id came to Marwan, and Marwan said: "If you obey this man and his companions, they will surely turn you into Jews." Abu Sa'id ؓ said: "[You] have lied, by Allah. If you and your father became Jews, we would not become Jews with you.") Ayyub said: Muhammad said: "He spoke the truth. Judaism was offered to them in pre-Islamic times and they refused it."
