al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 4009

✧ The Virtue of Supplication

وَحَدَّثَنَا الْأَزْرَقُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثَنَا حَسَّانُ، ثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ وَزَادَ:

« فَإِذَا دَعَوْتُمْ فَلْيَدْعُ مِنْكُمُ الصَّغِيرُ وَالْكَبِيرُ وَالْأَعْمَى وَالْفَصِيحُ، فَإِنَّكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّكُمْ يُجَابُ

✧ When you supplicate, let the young among you, the old, the blind, and the eloquent all supplicate, for you do not know which of you will be answered.
