✧ The Showing of a Servant's Deeds Even If He Conceals Them

قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَوْفٍ، ثَنَا مَعْبَدٌ الْجُهَنِيُّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ قَالَ:

لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ بَيْتًا فِي جَوْفِ بَيْتٍ فَأَدْمَنَ هُنَاكَ عَمَلًا، أَوْشَكَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يَتَحَدَّثُوا بِهِ، وَمَا مِنْ عَامِلٍ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا إِلَّا كَسَاهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى رِدَاءَ عَمَلِهِ، إِنْ كَانَ خَيْرًا فَخَيْرٌ، وَإِنْ كَانَ شَرًّا فَشَرٌّ

Translation

✧ If a man entered a house within a house and persisted there in a deed, people would soon speak of it. There is no worker who performs a deed except that Allah Most High clothes him with the garment of his deed—if good, then good; if evil, then evil.
