✧ Caution against the trial of wealth and abundance of money

وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الضَّبِّيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

« لَأَنَا فِي فِتْنَةِ السَّرَّاءِ أَخْوَفُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنِّي فِي فِتْنَةِ الضَّرَّاءِ، إِنَّكُمُ ابْتُلِيتُمْ بِفِتْنَةِ الضَّرَّاءِ فَصَبَرْتُمْ، وَإِنَّ الدُّنْيَا خَضِرَةٌ حُلْوَةٌ

Translation

✧ I fear for you in the trial of prosperity more than I fear for you in the trial of adversity. You were tested with the trial of adversity and you were patient, and indeed the world is green and sweet.
