✧ A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Which part of faith is most excellent? He said: "Good character." He repeated it to him, and he said: "Good character." He repeated it to him a third or fourth time, then either he made him stand or sit. He ﷺ said: "That you meet your brother with a cheerful face." He said: Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept commending good character, saying: "It is from Allah," and condemning bad character, saying: "It is from Satan." Then he said: "Do you not look at the redness of his eyes and the swelling of his jugular veins?"
