✧ A dabb lizard was gifted to us, so I cooked it. Then two men from her people entered upon her, and she offered it to them. Then the Prophet ﷺ entered while they were eating, and he ﷺ placed his hand, then lifted it and said: 'What is this?' She said: 'A dabb lizard gifted to me, so I cooked it.' He ﷺ threw it away, and they went to throw away what was in their hands. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them: 'Eat, for you are people of Najd and you eat it, while we are people of Tihamah and we find it distasteful.'
