وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ، عَنْ زِيَادٍ النُّمَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ، قَالَ:
إِنَّ شَابًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ: [وَعَلَيْهِ مِلْحَفَةٌ مُعَصْفَرَةٌ، فَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ ﷺ ]: لَوْ كَانَ هَذَا تَحْتَ قِدْرِ أَهْلِكَ كَانَ خَيْرًا لَكَ، فَذَهَبَ الْفَتَى فَغَدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: " مَا صَنَعْتَ بِثَوْبِكَ ؟ قَالَ: صَنَعْتُ مَا أَمَرْتَنِي بِهِ. فَقَالَ ﷺ: مَا بِذَلِكَ أَمَرْتُكَ، فَهَلَّا أَلْقَيْتَهُ عَلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِكَ
Translation

✧ A young man came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing a saffron-dyed cloak, and the Messenger ﷺ said: "If this were under the pot of your family, it would be better for you." So the young man went away and then came to the Prophet ﷺ the next morning, and he said: "What did you do with your garment?" He said: "I did what you commanded me." He ﷺ said: "That is not what I commanded you; why did you not give it to some of your womenfolk?"
